I bought this 21-quart portable fridge/freezer for a road trip where I needed to keep frozen food overnight without relying on dry ice or regular ice. It worked exactly as promised.
After letting it sit upright for 24 hours, I plugged it in and tested it with a fridge thermometer and some ice cubes. It cooled quickly and held temperature well. Encouraged by the initial results, we took it on a multi-day van trip, doing grocery runs (including ice cream) with about an hour of driving each time. Everything stayed frozen solid.
The temperature readings varied a bit—about 3 to 5°F difference from our standalone thermometer—but that was within an acceptable range, especially since it never came close to a 10°F swing. We also made sure to pre-cool the unit before loading it with frozen items.
One of the best features is that it comes with both 12V and 110V plugs, so no extra purchases were needed. Other models we looked at required buying adapters separately, which added up quickly.
The 21-quart size fits perfectly on the floor between the seats, and it’s light enough to carry around. It’s quiet during operation and reaches the set temperature quickly. After a few months of regular use, it’s still running reliably. Great little unit for the price!
